Tokidoki Video Game Branding

Recently I’ve read that Tokidoki has teamed up EA to create exclusive in-game car designs and artwork for Need for Speed Nitro for the Wii.

Also, Tokidoki has teamed up with Xbox Live and created Avatar clothing and accessories showcasing the Tokidoki brand.

I think it’s interesting how many brands now are using video games to advertise their brands. In my opinion I think it is effective if the target market of video games is the same as the target market of your brand. Creatively I think advertising for new media is great because there are so many avenues to showcase your brand. This is what inspires me the most about Simone Legno and his Tokidoki brand. His brand has reached out to so many different avenues of mediums. This includes the Tokidoki website, clothing, watches, bags, shoes, cosmetics, IPod skins, toys and now branding in video games.
Tokidoki is not the only brand doing this but many other brands. It would be interesting to see what is next for advertising in new media. I believe with enough creativity, the possiblities are endless.
